Wessanen is a European Food business, focussed specifically within the health and organic produce market. Headquartered in the Netherlands, the company has over five production facilities across Europe, with two sites based in the UK. The group owns a number of distinct food brands including Kallo, Whole Earth, Mrs Crimbles and Clipper Teas. As a growing and acquisitive business, the HRD in the UK wanted to form a partnership with a UK outplacement provider to provide support ad hoc redundancies that may occur from time to time.
The challenge was to create a simple framework of support that could be flexible and adaptable enough to meet very different needs of individual employees that might be supported from time to time. With no specific change project in mind, Wessanen needed a support programme that could be built around the requirements of an employee while keeping a close control on costs and that could be implemented quickly easily on an ad hoc basis as needs arose over time.
